Budding gymnast pays Cumbria care home a visitHC-One’s Cold Springs Park Care Home in Penrith, Cumbria were delighted to welcome Amy, a local gymnastic performer into the home.

Part of a local team of girls ranging from the ages of 7 to 11 years of age, Cold Springs Park invited Amy into the home to perform the routines that her and her team do in practices and at events. 

Residents were amazed to see Amy carrying out cartwheels, flips, rolls and throwing a ball and catching it with twists. She also showed her flexibility with flow and flare.

Amy gave a brief talk on how she practices her routines and how much time she spends perfecting the performance. She also spoke to the Residents about winning two medals, one gold and one silver for a group and an individual performance, at a Scottish event.

Everyone then enjoyed tea and biscuits together whilst chatting away, with Residents commenting:

“Wish we were young again and as flexible!”
