Residents at HC-One’s
Brompton House care home, in Broadway, had an adventure this June with a trip on the Dinmore Manor steam train.
The theme of the interior on the beautiful steam train was historical and dated back decades to when steam trains were one of the most common methods of transport. The train staff were dressed to the nines to fit in with the theme and Residents of the 37-bed residential and nursing home absolutely loved the journey.
Jackie, Betty and John (all pictured) enjoyed chatting to the train staff and sharing memories about their journeys in the past.
The train stopped at the lovely village of Toddington in Cheltenham, and all involved enjoyed sitting in the sunshine while tucking into a delicious outdoor lunch, in the garden of a local café.
Residents commented on the fresh air and that it gave them a good appetite.
Karina Kotkowska, Covid Coordinator, commented, “When returning back to our home, Jackie, Betty and John expressed how happy they were and how much they loved their great train adventure.”
