All Colleagues and Residents at
Brompton House care home, in Broadway, were so happy to welcome singer and guitar player Andrew “Andy” Yapp, to provide entertainment for Residents.
Residents at the 37-bed residential and nursing care home enjoy Andy's visits and they sing along to their favourite songs. Everyone loves the live music and when entertainers visit the home, they all cheer, clap their hands after each song, move to the music and wave along.
Some of the Residents suggest to Andy which song they would like to hear, and they are very happy when he plays it. Andy chats with Residents as well and they engage in conversations with him; he has a lot of years of experience working in care homes and he loves to involve Residents in singalongs too. They enjoy listening to his short and funny stories as well.
One of the Residents said, “Another great performance with great music and funny stories!”
Residents can't wait for Andy to come back next time
Karina Kotkowska, Covid Coordinator, commented, “It is so great to see Residents so happy and enjoying themselves. It is also lovely to hear them sing along!”
