Bringing the outside in at Hyde care homeColleagues and Residents at HC One’s The Sycamores care home decided to bring the outside in today.

Today a small group of Residents at the Hyde care home, were accompanied around the grounds on an Autumn walk.

During the walk the Colleagues and Residents collected bits of nature such as branches, all different types, colours and textures of leaves, grass and pine-cones too.

With these findings, together the staff and Residents made autumn frames which consisted of all the different bits and bobs found outside.

Residents used paper and PVA glue to stick the nature findings to make the frames. One frame was made for each unit and all the Residents took pleasure in the frame, feeling the different textures, looking at the different colours and also the smells of the fresh outside.

Resident Joyce Lee commented “we have done a good job, look at it on the wall, its lovely that!”

Each unit has their frame hung upon the wall where it can be appreciated by all in the home.
