Bready, steady, cook! Residents are on a ‘roll’ with baking session at Leeds care homeResidents at Sabourn Court care home in Leeds were delighted to take part in a reminiscent baking session as they made their own bread.

The baking lesson, which was organised as part of the home’s Harvest Festival celebrations, brought back memories for many Residents as they discussed making bread for their families during the war.

Sabourn Court was filled with the delicious smell of baking bread as Residents eagerly awaited for their bakes to finish cooking.

Everyone was delighted to enjoy their loaves with their soup later that day.

Residents at the home were also delighted to help collect and collate a food hamper, which was donated to help the homeless community in and around Leeds.

Those living at Colton Lodges thoroughly enjoyed the baking session, as one Resident commented: “What a lovely idea! I can’t wait to get my baking hat on again!”
