Colleagues at Meadowbank House care home, in Great Lever, continued to host the home’s International Day, and this month they decided to bring Poland to the Residents.
The home was decorated in all white and red, the colours of Poland, and Residents learned more about famous notable people and the history of the country, while remembering those that have lost their lives during world war II.
Betty remarked, “I like Poland a little more now that I know my favourite pope was polish!”
Residents also embraced the polish traditional cuisine by tasting some well-known snacks. Maureen, Betty, Kneale, Gordon, Elsie, James and Irene enjoyed tasting the polish food.
