Bluebirds bring back wartime memories for Aberford HallResidents at Aberford Hall care home in Leeds enjoyed reminiscing their younger days with classic wartime songs to mark Remembrance Day.

The Residents were joined by singing group, The Bluebirds, who performed a number of songs that were popular during the Second World War.

The chosen songs were a great hit with the Residents, particularly as the 1940s was a period that Residents have memories of, as many were in their early 20s.

One Resident commented: “I really enjoyed listening to the songs, they brought back so many memories!”

Kathryn Oddy, Home Manager at Aberford Hall, said: “It was lovely to see the Residents enjoying themselves as they sang along to the old wartime songs and waved their flags.”
