Residents and Colleagues at HC One’s Berry Hill Park were thrilled to be told they had won in the ‘best pot/basket’ category of the annual competition.
This year HC-One’s annual Gardening Competition saw a number of outstanding creations submitted from across its care homes in the UK. Today everyone at the Mansfield care home celebrated their win in the best pot or basket category.
There was a wonderful selection of colourful flowers which were proudly presented in an array of containers. These were sat alongside hand painted pebbles and stones that Residents had decorated.
The winning pot was designed by Resident Barbara Grime and her family generously donated £100 worth of vouchers for her and the home to buy new plants and flowers to spruce up the garden area.
Resident Lillian Plumpton commented “we all did marvellously well!”
The Resident and staff were all delighted to have won and have now received their certificate and plaque which will be proudly put on display.
The judges of the HC-One Gardening Competition were incredibly grateful to all entrants for taking part and were especially impressed with this year’s prize winners. HC-One has had a great success with this year’s Gardening Competition and look forward to running the Gardening Competition in subsequent years to come.
