Bishop Auckland care home Residents sing a rainbowResidents from HC-One’s Bishopsgate Lodge care home in Bishop Auckland all took part in their own rendition of ‘sing a rainbow’ to lift their spirits during these tough times.

The rainbow symbol really seems to have been chosen as the symbol for hope and happiness during this crisis, so Residents and staff decided to use that symbol for their own sing-a-long.

Lesley Duffy, Bishopsgate Lodge Well-being Co-ordinator said: “It sounded perfect, all singing out of tune and at different times made it special!”

Residents and staff also drew rainbows to display beforehand but as some Residents have limited dexterity, they all decided to have a sing a long afterwards.

Bishopsgate Lodge Home Manager Sarah Rigby said: “The staff at Bishopsgate Lodge are renowned for their kind and home like care but at this difficult time, everyone is really going the extra mile.”
