Bishop Auckland care home attends community garden grand openingHC-One’s Eden House care home in Bishop Auckland was invited to attend grand opening of the new community garden at Bishop Auckland Hospital.

Representatives from Eden House attended the unveiling of a new community garden at their local hospital, the gardens will provide an area for local people to visit and relax. The hospital has introduced some raised beds, one of which will be maintained by the Residents of Eden House.

In honour of their contribution to the gardens, a plaque with the homes name will be mounted to the raised bed and the Hospital Director has kindly offered for Residents to enjoy a pick your own fruit day when they plants are ready to harvest.

Eden House Home Manager, Emma Wade said: “We are delighted to be part of a project that will benefit our local community, the Residents are looking forward to tending to the plants in the community garden and seeing people utilise this wonderful area.”

Located on Cockton Hill Road, Eden House care home offers short and long term care packages for older ladies and gentlemen that require residential care and residential memory care for those living with dementia.
