Residents at HC-One’s
Fleming Court, residential and residential memory care home, in Newcastle, have been having their special birthday wishes granted!
Always going the extra mile to make the Residents happy, Fleming Court have decided to start a new initiative. Each Resident will be granted a birthday wish to make their birthdays extra special and memorable.
Resident, Professor Max Hammerton’s birthday wish was to go to the science museum as he is fascinated with space and the natural world. It was organised for Max to go to the Centre of Life, in Newcastle to see the space exhibition.
Max, was over the moon with his birthday wish, he remarked, “It was simply fascinating, what a wonderful day I have had.”
Another Resident, Graeme Ross, told the staff he used to play for the Newcastle United under 18’s team when he was a young boy. Fleming Court’s, Liaison Officer, Jill Wright contacted St James’ Park and they kindly organised a guided tour for Graeme’s birthday.
Graeme couldn’t believe it! He said, “I didn’t expect this! This has made me so happy, I can’t thank you all enough!”
Two lovely ladies, Ann and Meg wanted their birthday wishes to be an afternoon tea with their daughters. On their birthdays the catering staff organised a fabulous afternoon tea. It was all very swish.
Karen Stewart, Care Home Manager, commented, “The Residents are so happy when they receive their special wishes. It’s the least we can do for all of our wonderful Residents.”
