Birthday wishes granted at Roby House Care HomeMary Garner, a Resident at HC-One’s Roby House Care Home was given an extra special 88th Birthday celebration. Mary had told Colleagues at the home in Liverpool that she wished she would be able to hear a live performance from a band for her birthday.

In true fairy godmother style, Colleagues at the home contacted Mary’s family and made some arrangements!

Mary was delighted when a Ukulele Band showed up to perform. Around 30 Residents and family members attended the performance, which everyone enjoyed.

There was dancing and singing and Resident Norman Gaven was thrilled to see a long lost friend in the band. Norman had previously coached a football club and realised he knew this Gentleman from his football days!

While the performers took a break, refreshments and cakes were served.

Lee Monaghan, Care Home Manager at HC-One’s Roby House Care Home commented:

“It was so lovely to be able to fulfil a Residents wish today! Everyone looks so happy!”

Norman Gaven, Resident, remarked:

“I’m so happy to see my friend again! This has made my day.”
