Birthday visiting surprise for Hyde ResidentAs the government lifted visiting restrictions in care homes as of today, this proved to be a date perfect from Evelyn Addy as she celebrated her 86th Birthday at HC-One’s Hyde nursing home, in Greater Manchester.

Not only was Evelyn treated like the queen at the home with lots of pampering and a tiara to match, but she was also able to be the first of the Residents to receive an indoor visit from her husband Ben Addy.

Both Ben and Evelyn couldn’t keep the smiles from their faces and this brought so much joy to all the family and Colleagues at Hyde nursing home.

Ben and his daughter Julie were over the moon and were so happy and grateful that Ben was able to have this time with Evelyn. Julie said she couldn’t thank everyone enough.

Being known as the birthday queen for the day and having a visit from her husband, it was the best birthday present Evelyn had.

“Ben is the best present,” she had said.

Michelle Timperley, Manager, remarked, “It was so important to us that we really made a big fuss of Evelyn and the fact she was able to be the first to have her indoor visit.”
