One Resident enjoyed a birthday celebration despite being in lockdown at HC-One’s Chorlton Place care home in Manchester.
Freda Horridge was unfortunately not able to celebrate the big day with her family. But Colleagues at the home worked hard to give her the best day possible.
Colleagues organised a party at home with plenty of food, music, balloons and singing. All the Residents joined in and Freda was overwhelmed with emotion due to the amount of hard work everyone had put in on her behalf.
Freda commented: “All this effort was for me! I’ve had a lovely day and had a laugh at a time of sadness. It’s fantastic that this much fun can be had without my loved ones, although you are my extended family.”
Laughter and singing filled Chorlton Place as everyone had fun celebrating Freda Horridge’s big day.
Chorlton Place Wellbeing Coordinator, Lorna Diaz, said: “It was great to hear singing and laughter coming from the Residents and staff. All joining in together to make it a special day.”
