Birmingham care home says goodbye to 2020 in styleThere was cheering at HC-One’s The Orchard care home in Shard End this evening as Residents counted down to the new year.

The theme of the evening was the roaring 20s as Residents donned feather headbands and wide-brimmed fedoras.

Residents and Colleagues said goodbye to the difficult times of 2020 and hoped the new year would bring better days for everyone.

One Resident said: “We had a fantastic time. It’s cheered me right up.”

Everyone enjoyed a couple of drinks at the party before counting down to midnight alongside Big Ben on the TV.

Residents and Colleagues even had a sing and a dance to Auld Lang Syne.

Iain Mouzer, a Colleague at The Orchard, said: “It has cheered everyone up and we had a great time.

“It was well worth the effort.”
