Birdwatch-inspired craft session is a hit at Dukinfield care homeArts and crafts at Yew Trees care home in Dukinfield took inspiration from RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch as Residents showed off their inner artists.

The creative session by Luna Craft Group saw Residents make clocks, which incorporated designs of their favourite species of bird.

As some Residents chose to draw out sparrows, bluetits and robins, others opted for birds of prey, including a beautiful tawny owl.

After sketching out their designs, Residents coloured in their new feathered friends with a variety of colourful shades.

Everyone enjoyed a cup of tea and slice of cake as they completed their masterpieces, which many have since proudly displayed in their bedrooms.

One Resident commented: “It’s lovely to make new things, I was amazed to see how the clock was made.”
