Best friends experience a night to remember thanks to Redcar care homeHC-One’s Roseberry Court Care Home in Redcar, Cleveland has made two of its Residents’ wishes come true.

Good friends Jean Boyd and Marjorie Roberts both wished that they would be able to go and see a show at the theatre. The home organised for them both, along with a few of their fellow Residents, to go and see a show called Hollywood together at The Little Theatre in Middlesbrough, so that they could share their experience and memories together.

Hollywood is a fantastic London show set back in the 1920’s and is a musical full of the most memorable Hollywood melodies, including hits such as Top Hat, Let’s Face the Music, There’s no Business Like Show Business, Putting on the Ritz, Singing in the Rain and many more.

Both Jean and Marjorie were so excited when they boarded the bus and were giggling and making jokes. They both sat and watched the show together, as well as enjoying an ice cream and a drink each at the interval.

Jean and Marjorie both lived near each other growing up in Middlesbrough, so on the way home the bus took a detour and drove around their old home town. Both ladies immediately started to talk about their memories from living and growing up in Middlesbrough, including their old meetings places and all about their families,

Marjorie commented:

“I’ve had a really lovely day, I don’t know what we would do without you.”

Jean commented:

“It was such a lovely show, thank you so much for bringing us.”
