Bellshill care home worker raises over £1500 after braving the shave for MacmillanChristine Muircroft, Senior Care Assistant at HC-One’s Hatton Lea care home in Bellshill has raised an amazing £1690 after braving the shave in memory of her mum for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The brave the shave initiative was first introduced by Macmillan Cancer Support in 2015, since its launch, brave people have shaved their hair in a bid to raise vital funds for the charitable organisation.

Being a cause close to Christine’s heart, she decided to brave the shave on Friday 11th October in memory of her mum to help create awareness of the incredible work that Macmillan does for people and families affected by cancer.

Christine has worked at Hatton Lea for twenty six years and was supported in her fundraising efforts by her Colleagues and Residents.

One Resident commented: “Well done Christine, the money you have raised will help so many people.”

June Sudgen, Home Manager at Hatton Lea said: “Everyone at Hatton Lea is proud of Christine for her selfless gesture which has managed to raise such an impressive amount of money for a charity which has touched the heart of so many.”
