Tea lovers enjoyed a cuppa while raising money for charity during the world’s biggest coffee morning.
Carers Arlene McManus and Tracey Ballantyne created a café in the Orbiston unit in Hatton Lea, spending hours painting furniture and sourcing items to make the room appealing to the Residents.
For the opening of Orbiston Café they organised a Macmillan Coffee Morning where a range of homemade cakes were on display.
Relatives, Residents and staff attended the opening and everyone enjoyed tasting the array of cakes.
Altogether, an incredible £507.88 was raised.
June Sugden, General Manager at HC-One’s Hatton Lea Care Home commented:
