Beeston care home Residents mark Remembrance DayResidents at Silverwood care home in Beeston, Nottingham paid their respects to those affected by the war at the local Cenotaph. 

Everyone got wrapped up in warm winter clothing as they made their way down to Beeston Cenotaph, as Resident Ken even wore his wore medals. 

Ken was greeted by his two daughters, who joined him for the occasion. 

Residents Norah and Betty also visited the Cenotaph, as they paid their respects at the town’s ceremony in honour of Remembrance Day. 

All three Residents were pleased to have paid their respects at the Cenotaph, with Ken serving in the Royal Air Force and Betty working as a secret decoder throughout the war. 

One Resident commented: “Thank you for taking us to down to the Cenotaph. It was good to go and pay our respects.”
