Bankhouse Celebrate a double birthday

Residents at HC-One’s Bankhouse in Lancashire celebrated not one but two birthdays in their Lancashire based care home this week!

Ken Hardman, a former Science and technology teacher in the Royal Air Force celebrated his 90th birthday while Veronica Dickson celebrated her 80th Birthday.

In her younger years, Veronica performed with the Elephants in the Blackpool Circus and later opened her own ladies fashion shop in Poulton called “Femme”.

Carers and staff organised a host of activities, including a buffet tea and entertainment from entertainer Emma James, inviting Resident’s families and friends to the celebratory event complete with balloons and a cake.

Janet Barnes, Home Manager at HC-One’s Bankhouse commented:

“Birthdays are always a big deal here at Bankhouse. We just love celebrating our Residents and their extraordinary lives! Making sure everyone has an extra special birthday is just another way we can provide the kindest possible care!”

Bankhouse is located in Shard Road and offers short and long-term care to elderly members of the community needing Residential, Nursing and Dementia Care.
