Every week Windsor Road Nursery in Newton Heath, visit Averill House to enjoy an array of activities.
Each week Residents engage with the children and they always finish the visit with a sing-a-long, milk and biscuits.
Activities include arts and crafts, potting plants but the Residents most of all enjoy the children singing. The Residents have described the children’s visits as the highlight of the week!
Home Manager, Lesley Nosworthy, remarked:
“It is a pleasure to welcome the children each week as they are wonderfully behaved! We have one Resident whose behaviour completely changes and he becomes so much more relaxed and smiley around the children, it’s really quite lovely to see!”
