Avalon Park Residents
Residents from HC-One’s Avalon Park Care Home in Oldham attended a very special music session provided by the Alzheimer’s Society.

As part of HC-One’s mission to provide the kindest care to their Residents, the care team at Avalon Park brought Residents to the event at the Oldham Music Centre.

Singing for the Brain works with the principles of music and singing as therapy, and it brings people together in a stimulating and friendly environment. People from all walks of life and those living with various stages of Dementia enjoy coming together for a sing song and a socialise.

The theme of the week was female singers and Residents sang songs by Shirley Bassey, Doris Day and Judy Garland whilst playing percussion instruments.

Amy Robertson, Home Manager at HC-One’s Avalon Park commented:

“It’s lovely to see out Residents engaging with so many new people and really enjoying themselves. Bringing them to events like these really do help us to provide the kindest care for everyone!”
