Autumnal celebrations at Newton Heath care homeCelebrations were in full swing at Averill House care home in Newton Heath, Manchester as Residents and their loved ones enjoyed a delicious coffee morning and Harvest Festival activities. 

The day began with a MacMillan Coffee Morning, as Residents, Relatives and Colleagues baked and tasted a delicious selection of cakes, raising a fantastic £30 for the charity. 

The afternoon continued with Averill House’s Harvest Festival celebrations, as more than 33 students from St Wilfred’s Primary School visited the home to sing a number of autumn-themed songs with Residents. 

Councillor Abid Latif Chohan, the Lord Mayor of Manchester, also joined Residents at Averill House as they handed over some amazing food hampers to the local Salvation Army. 

The day was rounded off with a lovely catch up as Residents and their loved ones enjoyed a delicious afternoon buffet.
