August activities at Warrens HallWarrens Hall in Tividale, which provides nursing care, had a couple of lovely activities happening over August.

The first activity the Residents enjoyed this month was a summertime tea event. Planned by the wellbeing team, it allowed families to get together outside in the sunshine, in their newly built courtyard.

Tables were placed outside, and it was beautifully decorated with an array of drinks and treats for the Residents and their family members to enjoy. The consensus among everybody was that the tea and cream cakes were delightful. One of the Resident’s comments was “Thank you so much for making this happen, it’s been a very special day”. Another mentioned that “This has been one of the best times I’ve had here at the home. I’m so grateful the staff could arrange this for me and my family”.

The Home Manager Kalmit had commented “Summertime tea was a fantastic idea for families to enjoy a special occasion together”.

Later in the month, a groovy 60’s party had been arranged for everybody. The Residents and staff dressed up with a hippy theme, and enjoyed a morning of greatest hits across the 60’s.

Decorations were very bright and groovy, lights were also swirled all around the room. Staff were singing and dancing around the room, which also got the Residents up and dancing about.
The best comment of the day came from a Resident saying “It was a great experience going back in time, bringing back many great memories”. Others also commented on the song choices saying “You forget some of the great songs we had to listen to back in the day, thinking you won’t remember the words, then it all comes back, and we sang along”.

Kalmit said that “It was a real treat to go back in time like this and celebrate an era our Residents can resonate with. It was such a good experience to enjoy”.
