On 8th January, at HC-One’s
Ashton View residential memory care, nursing and nursing memory care home, near Wigan, one Resident celebrated her 100th birthday, marking the first as a centenarian.
Elizabeth “Betty” Leyland, pictured, who was born in 1922, received a birthday message from the Queen and much to her delight, Colleagues decorated the communal area in the home with birthday decorations.
Elizabeth received lots of presents and flowers and remarked, “I am so happy. I love you all so much, thank you all!”
Many Residents from Ashton View came to wish Elizabeth a ‘Happy Birthday’ and all enjoyed a large buffet which was made by the fantastic kitchen team!
Wellbeing Coordinator, Annmarie Roberts, commented, “Thank you to all staff who made this day so special for Elizabeth!”
