Staff from Ashington Grange braved Storm Emma to visit local elderly Residents in their own homes yesterday.
Relief Manager Lee Dale, Deputy Manager Susanne Dawson, Care Assistant Brent Brooks and Wellbeing/Care Assistant Kerry Parker were the heroes who walked through the snow to help the local community.
The Residents were each given a goodie bag packed full of goodies including cupcakes and asked if they needed any assistance in this bad weather.
The staff explained that if they did decide that they needed any help with their shopping or anything at all, just to contact the home and they would do their best to help.
Later that day a Resident called the home and said how overwhelmed she was with the visit, saying:
“What a marvellous and thoughtful gesture. I have never experienced anything like this and now I don’t feel so isolated, thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
