April Park Residents create Remembrance Display
To mark 100 years since the end of the war, Residents at April Park care home created a beautiful poppy display for Colleagues, Residents and Visitors to enjoy.

They created a beautiful poppy tree complete with fairy lights and a table display.

Residents Colin Frost and Frank Lowe who are both 100 years old and Harry Preistley who is 99 years old enjoyed working on the display together.

Just before 11am, the homes oldest resident Colin placed a hand made wreath, against the tree.  He was really pleased to be able to do that and also to show off his medals and explain what each of them were for.  All the other Residents then placed a poppy on the tree which some had written messages on in memory of those they had personally lost .

The tree was taken upstairs for the Residents who were unable to come down, to place a poppy on the tree.
