April Park care home in Eckington gave Resident Jim a day to remember with a trip to the local races.
Horse-racing fanatic Jim has enjoyed visiting the races for many years, so staff at the home decided it would be the perfect trip out for him.
Jim was delighted to visit the races with his friend, and even won a bet or two during the races.
Jim said: “I already can’t wait for my next visit to the races.”
Gail Wardle, Home Manager at April Park, said: “It’s so important for our Residents to be able to enjoy the things they used to do before coming to live at our home. Jim loved his day out and can’t wait to go again.”
