Appleton Manor Residents go Wild at the ZooResidents and Care Colleagues at HC-One’s Appleton Manor were thrilled when they were taken on a special day trip out to Chester Zoo.

Residents Ruth, Ellen, Margaret and Audrey loved seeing all of the various species of animals including lions, tigers and bears. The sun was shining which made the day even better and everyone loved getting close to the animals and browsing the gift shop.

Amy Robertson, Home Manager, said:

“Everyone had a lovely time at the zoo, made even more fun as we were able to take advantage of the sunny weather. Seeing the animals up close and personal was enough to put a smile on their faces. Our Residents all came back very happy and praised the zoo staff who were very accommodating to them throughout the day.”

Appleton Manor is located in Lingard Lane and offers short and long-term care to elderly members of the community needing Nursing and Residential Memory Care.
