Annual sundae ice cream party gets Residents ready for summerHC-One’s Park House Care Home in Guisborough, Redcar and Cleveland are now ready for summer after their annual summer sundae ice cream party.

Tribal Masquers dancers gave everyone a very colourful performance during the day and Frank gave the Residents a good seaside sing-a-long, playing and singing trackers such as Summer Holiday on his guitar.

After the entertainment, it was time for the main focus of the day: ice cream.

Each Resident was given a dish of ice cream and then brought trays of different sauces, wafers, toppings, fresh strawberries and marshmallows which they could use to make their own ice cream sundaes.

They were more than happy to have a go and happier still to eat them afterwards. A prize was given for the best ice cream name and Brenda took the crown with her “Lickety Split”.

Everyone had a great time and agreed that it was a fantastic start to the summer.
