Animal therapy at St Helens care homeResidents at HC-One’s Broadoak Manor care home in St Helens, Merseyside welcomed some furry friends on Wednesday 27th February.

Two Shetland ponies and a baby goat visited Broadoak Manor to spend some quality time with Residents, everyone loved stroking the animals and asking their handlers questions about their habits and behaviour.

For some, this was the first time they had ever been up close to a pony and a goat which was a memorable moment, one Resident has a son who breeds race horses so he offered some advice to the handlers and sharing fond memories of his son’s farm.

A great time was had by all, Residents had such a good time that the team at Broadoak Manor have organised for the four legged friends to visit once a month.
