Animal adventure at Wigston care homeResidents at Cedar Court care home in Wigston were delighted to receive a surprise visit from some special guests from Animal Interaction.

The animal therapy company brought along many different animals, including skinny pigs, snakes and rabbits.

Some Residents even plucked up the courage to stroke and hold the animals, with company representative Sally explaining the animal’s diet, habitat and characteristics.

Residents were even more delighted to welcome students from the local nursery into the home as they joined in with the animal therapy session.

Olive said: “The animals are so cute. The rabbit was beautiful to look at, I wish I could have taken him home with me.”

Fellow Resident Mary added: “That was a really good session, I really love seeing the rabbits and guinea pigs.”
