Residents from Worsley Lodge care home in Worsley enjoyed a scenic sail in the summer sunshine as they joined those from nearby HC-One home Pendleton Lodge for one of their yearly boat trips.
The highly-anticipated event began in the morning, as Residents stopped off for lunch at the Farmers Arms in Burscough.
Everyone then enjoyed sitting at the front of the boat, watching the world go by. Residents loved watching sheep and horses grazing in the nearby fields, as well as ducks and their ducklings swimming along the water’s edge.
One Resident commented: “The boat trip was absolutely fantastic! It was lovely to see so much of the beautiful English countryside as we set sail along the river.”
