All aboard! Broadway care home Residents enjoy railway experienceResidents at Brompton House care home in Broadway enjoyed a railway experience for a trip to Cheltenham.

Everyone enjoyed watching the steam trains pass by the platform as Residents eagerly waited for their train and waved goodbye to other passengers.

Once on-board the train, Residents admired the Gloucestershire countryside as they passed by fields of farmers, sheep and horses and chatted about how trains have changed since they were children.

After reaching their final destination, Residents enjoyed a delicious picnic and hot drink as they took in the views and had a lovely sing-along together.

The train journey was a hit with all who attended, as one Resident said: “It was so lovely to go on a train journey again and watch the world go by.”
