Residents at residential, nursing and residential dementia care home,
Pendleton Court, in Salford, were in for a magical wonderland tea party surprise this March.
Colleagues at the home created a magical wonderland scene, decorated with flowers and a dash of magic!
Maintenance Colleague Joe cut out some mushroom shapes and painted them. One of the Residents’ daughters brought in some props too, to set the scene.
Residents commented on how the scene looked stunning, with one saying, “It is so magical.”
Christine, Elizabeth, Pauline and Marjorie, who all live at Pendleton Court, helped make the famous Cheshire Cat (pictured) over a few days leading up to the party.
Elaine, who works as a Cook at the home, made all sorts of wonderful treats for everyone, including cocktails, fresh scones, gateaux and cakes; making sure she catered to all the different levels of special diets in the home so everyone could try.
Staff dressed up in costumes and brought heaps of energy to the atmosphere which was incredible!
Lesley, Wellbeing Coordinator, said, “We had so much fun! Special thanks to one of our Carers, Helen, for helping with the entertainment.”
“The staff said that they would love to do it on a regular basis as it brought us all together as a team.”
