Afternoon of reminiscence at Oakhill HouseResidents at HC-One’s Oakhill House care home enjoyed an afternoon of reminiscence recently through a local museum’s loan box service.

The museum provided two boxes of equipment which related to past occupations – including a school master, pilot, butcher, chef and hairdresser.

Residents found the activity to be very interesting as they were able to try the items on and reminisce about their own past occupations. They especially enjoyed trying on the hats and laughing with one another as they brought back amusing memories.

Beckie Condie, Home Manager, commented: “Residents have really enjoyed themselves this afternoon through this activity. The boxes are a regular free loan service from the museum and we look forward to using this again.”
