Saying ‘white rabbits, white rabbits, white rabbits’ is supposed to bring us luck on the first of the month, and in this case, it really did bring the white rabbit to Admirals Reach care home. Not only that but we had all the characters from Alice in Wonderland delivering sweets and performing for the Residents.
On this Wednesday, Activity Coordinator Colleagues pulled out all the stops and went above and beyond to entertain all the Residents with their fun and flamboyant costumes from the famous 1951 Disney movie, acting out their character’s roles. We had Sharon as Alice, Sally as the Queen of Hearts, Gill as the White Rabbit and Chris as the Mad Hatter.
To top it off, bags of old-fashioned traditional sweets were handed out to the Residents, many commented that it had brought back memories and was a great opportunity for reminiscing back to their childhood.
One Admirals Reach Resident commented, “You all look lovely. You have made my day!”
