A surprise delivery was in store this week for both staff and Residents at Holmwood care home.
Holmwood’s Wellbeing Coordinator, Vicky, has been on annual leave this week spending some time with her children. On Tuesday, Vicky dropped by the home with two large baskets full of sweets for all the staff. Vicky and her children had created the impressive display themselves and wanted to support the home, even when she wasn’t at work.
The sweets were then shared to all staff members and Residents and was a lovely treat for the day. One of the Residents was flabbergasted with the rice paper dollars. At first she refused to believe that the rice paper could be eaten, it had to be proven!
Home Manager, Vicki Leck, commented, “Staff at Holmwood are always thinking of each other which is why we make such a good team. We depend on each other and make each other smile, like a true family.”
Helen, Holmwood Nurse (pictured), certainly couldn’t keep her hands off the sweets!
