Residents at HC-One’s Church View care home in Caerphilly were treated to a special surprise after an act of kindness from the local community.
Two friendly faces from the local community, young Alfie and Lucy, visited Church View with a box full to the brim with beautiful hand-knitted shawls.
Each shawl was lovingly handmade by two ladies close to Church View’s heart: Amanda Rosser, a former Colleague at the home, and Sandra Evans, a friend of the home.
Residents were delighted as they had the opportunity to choose their favourite shawl, as there was one in almost every colour, ranging from pastels to bright shades to more earthy tones.
Residents commented on how beautiful and soft the shawls were and how kind and well-mannered the children were as they admired their new gifts.
