Residents at Acomb Court care home in Hexham enjoyed a delicious lunch at their favourite country pub.
The winning pub which was selected by Residents was the Poacher’s Pocket, a quiet country pub with a lovely log fire and oak beams.
Choosing from the menu was a difficult choice for Residents, with a vast selection of choices on offer, but once the food came it certainly lived up to its reputation.
One Resident commented: “The Poacher’s Pocket is one of my favourite places to go for lunch. The food was delicious, and the company was even better!”
The trip was then rounded off with a drive through the scenic villages of the Tyne Valley.
