Residents and Colleagues at
Acomb Court, residential and residential dementia care home in Hexham, spend the bank holiday weekend celebrating the Kings Coronation.
Residents all came together to watch the spectacular ceremony on TV. This was followed by a royal high tea that Chef Andy especially made which Residents said was delicious.
Some of the Residents wore crowns and royal glasses and had a right good laugh at each other. Sonia said, “Wearing a crown made me feel like a queen for the day!”
Many Residents commented that the coronation was wonderful.
Ron, one of the Residents said, “I hope the commonwealth will continue for many years.”
The party was in full swing when Robert the accordion entertainer began, and the Residents sang and danced to the music. Many Residents were up on their feet dancing and having a great time.
Kinga Kowaliczek, Care Home Manager, remarked, “What a lovely celebration was had by all the Residents and Colleagues!”
