A Resident received a wonderful birthday gift this year when her family made a video for her to watch at HC-One’s The Westbury care home in Westbury, Wiltshire.
June spent a lovely day celebrating her 90th birthday with Colleagues and fellow Residents at the home, complete with cake, a party buffet and sing-a-longs to June’s favourite songs.
But the icing on the birthday cake was a very special gift from her family. They sent in a video of each member of the family telling June an endearing birthday message. Colleagues played the video for June on the big TV in the lounge.
Unfortunately, due to lockdown restrictions her family were unable to visit her at the home but the video was a phenomenal idea so that June could see each one of them.
The Westbury Home Manager, Dana Sandu, said: “It was so lovely to see the happiness in June’s face as she watched the video. She was over the moon with the effort everyone had put in to make her 090th birthday a joyous day.”
