Friday the 8th of June is known as World Oceans Day, and members of the Care Team at White Gables Care Home decided to treat some Residents to a day out at the Local Aquarium!
Residents marvelled at the tropical lagoon and even had the opportunity to touch a starfish. They watched the penguins being fed, and took a tour of the aquarium learning about the many different varieties of marine life.
For lunch the Residents popped to the café and had some delicious fish and chips and browsed the gift shop for some souveniers. After a long exciting day everyone piled back on to the mini bus and headed back to the home for some relaxation before tea time.
Resident Coral Williams said “it was absolutely wonderful” when asked if she enjoyed the day out.
Everyone had a wonderful time and look forward to going back for another visit.
