A Trip to Mablethorpe for Cedar Court With the great British summer in full swing, colleagues from HC-One’s Cedar Court care home decided to take Residents for a trip to the beach and so Mablethorpe was the chosen destination.

Three Residents Geoff, Fred and Gordon attended the trip and each one said what a lovely time they had.

Upon arrival into Mablethorpe, the first port of call was a local café to have a bite to eat and a drink. Everyone then enjoyed a stroll along the promenade. Residents enjoyed reminiscing and commented on how they use to come here when they were younger.

After this, the team then went to the beach and Gordon braved the cold sea and had a paddle.

After all the fun, Residents and colleagues enjoyed some traditional fish and chips, finished off with an ice cream.

Resident Geoff commented:

“I Love Mablethorpe! The trip was well organised, and I had the best time of my life! I thoroughly enjoyed the fish and chips.”

Resident Gordon added:

“I loved the paddle in the sea, the weather was good, and we had loads of fun!”

Resident Fred agreed saying:

“I Loved the whole day, the walk on the promenade was beautiful!”

Home manager, Louise commented:

“This was a fantastic day; the Residents really enjoyed themselves, seeing smiles on their face really made the day for me. Going to Mablethorpe brought back memories for the Residents. The best part of the day for me was seeing Gordon having a paddle!”
