HC-One’s Cold Springs Park Care Home in Penrith, Cumbria organised a trip down memory lane for the Residents.
Lancastrian Jimmy came in to display and talk to the Residents at Cold Spring Park about an era that they could reminisce about and look back on with happy memories.
The Residents all gathered in the lounge to watch the big screen for memories from films, songs, poems and sitcoms like Morcombe and Wise, specifically their breakfast dance scene.
They then had the chance to discuss their own memories, talking about the jobs they did at home or in the WAAF and about the television programmes that they used to watch.
Items of old were then presented and passed around to awaken everyone’s senses. The Residents thoroughly enjoyed listening to others reminisce about their past.
