A sunny trip to Scarborough for Melbury CourtHC-One’s Melbury Court Care Home in Durham enjoys a day out to Scarborough.

Margaret Barker, Alice Beadling, Pam Hampton, Doug Mason, Joyce Wilson and Eve Mewes were all excited when everyone set off early and stopped halfway at Park House Care Home in Guisborough for refreshments.

Arriving in Scarborough, they parked on the sea front before walking along to South Bay. As the weather was lovely, warm and sunny but not too hot, the Residents decided to enjoy their fish and chips by the sea.

After lunch, everyone had a look around the shops and visited Harbour Bar for an ice-cream break, before walking back along the seafront and buying sticks of rock to take home.

Everyone enjoyed reminiscing about how much Scarborough had changed over the years and commented on how busy it was on the day.

Margaret commented:

“It was a lovely day, I really enjoyed myself.”
