A stunning Poppy tribute at Shelton Lock
With the Centenary celebrations of the end of WW1 taking place around the Country the Residents and Colleagues of HC-One's Shelton Lock care home decided that they would like to do something to mark this momentous occasion.

A plea was put out for donations of red wool and or knitted poppies, resulting in the formation of a knit and natter group lead by a volunteer.

Jayne, began visiting the home weekly helping the Residents to knit poppies.

Poppies have been flooding in from staff, visitors, members of the wider community, not to mention those knitted by the Residents. Shelton Lock then created a beautiful display of all of the poppies by the window looking out on to the garden of memories.

Home Manager,Josephine Woodman commented:

"Residents have been really engaged with this activity, it was nice to see them all involved."
