A spot of retail therapy for Evercreech ResidentOn 10th February, a shopping trip for one Resident at the Glen care home, in Shepton Mallet, which offers residential and nursing care, resulted in smiles all round!

Wellbeing Coordinator Lisa Griggs took Resident Glenis Cooper out for a shopping trip to the local supermarket. Due to covid restrictions, this is the first trip out that Glenis has been on since being at the home and she loved it.

Glenis was able to buy herself some shoes, clothes, and some bits for her bedroom.  Once they had finished shopping, Lisa then treated Glenis to a caramel latte coffee, which she loved!

Both had a great afternoon, and the smile didn't leave Glenis’ face. She commented, "It’s so nice to get out and about and feel like I'm doing something normal.”

Lisa added, “It was lovely to see Glenis enjoying herself and getting excited about shopping She would love to make this a regular thing.”
