Throughout the month of September, the wellbeing team at
Newlands care home in Stockport, Cheshire have been busy organising a variety of events for both residents and the local community to enjoy.
The home had a visit from the therapy ponies and dogs which brought smiles all round. A Shetland pony and a Border Collie came to the care home to meet the residents, giving them the opportunity to interact and have a cuddle with the animals.
Children from the local primary school popped in for a visit at the start of their new school term. The residents were thrilled to meet the children and talk about what they are looking forward to in the new school year.
As well as all these exciting visits, the residents at Newlands care home also took part in music sessions, craft activities and baking delicious mug muffins.
Newlands care homes wellbeing team are planning some fabulous autumnal everts for October.
